Hello all :) I am new to these forums and new to photography, (with anything other then cheap little point and click cameras lol). I thought I would share a couple pictures I have taken so far with my new camera, ( Rebel XTi).

I have been reading here for a few days as a guest hoping to learn more and have picked up quite a bit though I'm sure it is just the tip of the iceberg for knowledge on this subject.

But anyways, here a couple pictures taken with the kit 18-55mm lens. I don't recall what settings I had the camera set to at the time.

Picutre 1 is taken from aboard USS Bainbridge (DDG-96) while doing "Leapfrogs" with the German frigate Rhienland - Pfalz (F-209).

Picture 2 is of a SH-60B lifting off of the USS Bainbridge (DDG-96).

*EDIT* I had to shrink the heck out of them to fit the 150kb limit :/ i need to find myself a site to host images from heh.

*EDIT 2* Found a site to host off of, so i am attaching thumbnails that will link to bigger versions of the pictures :)

Well, welcome to POTN.

Ummm.......Definately small in size.......They are good pictures though, especially when you look at the larger size ones on the host site. :)

You should see the orignals for size, the ones posted on the hosting size are 1/3rd the size of them. I got the 16gb memory card so I could be trigger happy because i like to shoot alot of pics and I keep it in large fine so they are huge:D

And thanks for the welcome.

Glad to hear you are having such a good time with your new camera shooting photos. It can most certainly be a very addictive activity. I think you'll find these forum pages very helpful and informitive as you begin to get more and more into photography. :)
