I am in the PBing stage and one of my clients who is in the process of starting her own modeling agency wants to hire me to do shots of about 10-12 Models in my home studio.

I dont have the foggiest idea of what to charge and this is a first for me, I'm a kids / pets / family life photographer, so this is a first.

Can someone point me in the right direction on how to research this?

I'd show the agency some of your work, ask them what they want from you, tell them what you're prepared to deliver, & ask them what you might charge.

See Longwatcher's post in Models TFP (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=53935)

Christy-

Model portfolio pricing varies wildly. Generally $400-1000 for basic portfolios, more expensive for well known photographers. Expenses for makeup/hair/clothes/location would be extra. It doesn't sound like you have much experience here in model porfolios. My personall philosophy is that I only charge for professional services if I can deliver a professional product. So in this case I would do 1-4 for free, and then start charging regular rates. Do not forget you will need much help from makeup artists, hair stylists, and clothing stylists to get even decent results.

Good Luck-
Scott

I think she was talking about her own portfolio as a photographer, not a price for the model's portfolio.
