I am starting to worry a little at the moment. I hope all will be sorted tomorrow when I ring them...

I have gone on line to order everything, lenses, memroy cards and extra battery etc.

Check that my visa card is accepted, even phoned the comapny to tell them to expect the order from USA and completed all the boxes only to be faced with ... guess what... we cannot verify your card because of banking rules in your country! What? :shock: :x :twisted:

I am trying to remain calm... but I have a 1DMkII and am feeling v.frustrated!

How did you set about understanding all the instruction manual with yours? I'm thinking I need a get together with someone experienced in the use of these beauties!

Well, times and policies have now changed, thank to the few UK low life’s who have been dishonest with this company, I have it from the horses mouth...

Our Visa and Master cards are no longer welcome at B & H! >:(

In other words I have to go to the States and stand in front of their surveillance cameras BEFORE they will accept my card and my order!

I have to use my American Express card with B&H it is the only one they will take.

Sucks if you aint got one, but I have had no problems at all.

Yeh, they did mention AE and something called a Discovery card...

Well, I've searched their site and tried the live chat all with a negative result... so I guess I've drawn a blank their too.

with order amount under $1500, you CAN use international credit card, I've been using my Master card for over 6 different orders with B&H in past 6 months, never had a problem. BUT, you do have to email them or fax them the copy of front and back of your card for the first time.

If any order above $1500, you can only wire money through your bank, unless you have one of those Amex cards.

I wired them over £2k for my first order, it went through within 24 hours, and I received my parcel with 3 days of transaction.

I buy my stuff at two stores only: BHphoto and 17Photo. Both in NY.

Try 17Photo, stay away from Adorama unless you want a lot more trouble.
