I always shoot in JPEG and not 'RAW'. I would like to you what is the best picture style to use for shooting people.
I normally use Standard or Portrait and would increase the contrast to +1.
Anyone has better suggestions?

You can make adjustments to the picture styles in the camera. Check you manual for the particulars

I don't have picture styles on my particular camera, but I haven't heard many people who are happy with the straight Portrait style—it tends to be too pink or even red. The ones who use it generally seem to turn Saturation down a notch or two and Color Tone up a notch or two.
Also, are you aware that there are two additional Portrait picture styles available for download from Canon (http://web.canon.jp/imaging/picturestyle/file/index.html)?

yes, I have seen studio portrait and snapshot portrait in canon website.
Do you think 'snapshot portrait' is better than 'Portrait' picture style?
I always increase the contrast by +1 and never changed the color tone.
I normally like better contrast pictures which i never get with my 28-135mm lens. I do not know its because of the lens or something to do with the picture style.

I just use the standard picture style. I'll do any editing in post.
I use RAW always.

Why not shoot in RAW?
