No malice intended it arrived in my e-mail at work on Friday and it made me laugh.

Sorry sGu, Mac is a very foreign language for me and I know nothing about them (I know its sad :( )

The link is to a WMF file which stands for Windows Media Video so I am not sure if there is any Mac software to play it.

Quite right too! I haven't used an Apple computer since 1984 when the Apple II I was using broke down merely because I accidently knocked the "on" switch of the Vandergraff generator sitting next to it and it discharged into the system unit several times!

I thought "if they're that flaky, I don't want to know" :P

The nearest I came to being expelled from school was when I left a fully charged Vandergraff generator on the desk for the lab assistant to put away, I still think he should have discharged it before picking it up by the balls :)

 Sounds extremely painful

I used to enjoy charging up capacitors at school and leaving them around for the unwary to pick up

 There are a lot of us about ;) Unless you went to school in a town on the Moray Firth coast of Scotland, it's unlikely that I'm the same person ;)

Nah... I still keep in contact with that guy, he lives in Cape Town so there's no way it could've been you.

Instead of clicking on the link to play the media you have to right click ( or Control click) on the link and save it to your hard drive. You can then open the file in Media Player to play it.

I still haven't figured out why Media player won't play URL links directly via the web browser but at least the above is a way around it.

Excellent  That's a relief! I wasn't looking forward to having to fake the tearful reunion/long lost pals bit with someone I probably couldn't remember ;)

I feel I should say at this point that deliberately setting out to give unsuspecting people electric shocks is a thoroughly reprehensible thing to do, not to mention dangerous, and could have serious consequences for the shocked person.

I did this when I was a foolish teenager and now know better.

So to any kids reading: * Do NOT try this at home or anywhere else * OK?

The joke is very nice ... but the acronym was maybe defined by Dan 'potatoe' Quayle ...

Best regards,
Andy

You are very kind Cadwell. You should see what we did at HS. Nasty, very nasty.

The joke is hilarious (as long as you don't live in Florida).
