Shot in the very late afternoon with very low sun and lots of haze so washed out color became a more dramatic black and white.

This shot works well with the Vegas backdrop... I have a few F15's that have a similar background from Aviation Nation a couple of years ago

Lucky man being so close to probably the best Aviation airbase in the World
cheers Chris

I'm actually at work across the street at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. It's NASCAR weekend...

What do you do there? I have worked pit crew once for a Busch team, my brother in law got me in he does it as much as he can.

Like the shot also :)

I really like this shot! Especially the unsettled dust above the runway. Dramatic, indeed.

The black and white does well for this photo. It ages it nicely. Especially since the 135 doesn't have the newer engines.

I haven't had a chance to post the profile view as it climbed out but I believe this was a JStars platform.

That's why I put 135... I thought it might be the Jstars, but you can never go wrong with just saying 135... when flying around the pattern with any one of these variants, I always hear ATC call them a C-135.

Black and white works really well for this shot. All the aircraft coming in and out of Nellis is one of the reasons I love spending time out at the dragstrip at the speedway.
