I am trying to decide between these two. I do primarily landscapes and looking for a tripod that I can travel with with using my 5D with 70-200 IS. I have seen the Manfrotto 190XB in person and was wondering if the Giottos-9251 was more or less sturdy. Essentially for those who have seen both tripods which one would you get? Any input is much appreciated.

They are about the same. One has twist locks the other clips. Manfrotto is highly respected and recommended in these parts. I prefer the Giotto brand myself as I like the feel of the product and it works for me.

I have the Giottos MT 9371 and I must say it is super sturdy with my 500 on it built really well and not that expensive .
