Photographing Small Objects

What I want to do is photograph some small objects with a crisp clean white background. I found an article on here a few months ago, but now I can't find it. It showed how to make your own "dome" like photographing box. I just want to know what I should do to make something like this.

I just did a google on "Photographing Small Objects". The last link on the first page is a .pdf on building a light tent.

Made myself a square box from plastic pipes, then coverd it with soft piece of cloth. Total cost = $30.
For the background you can use anything, like cloth or paper.

I think the tricky part is lighting.
