Hi,
I need some advice on lighting. I don't have alot of money and want to get some Easter pics of my daughter. I have a couple of clamp lights with silver reflectors and a nice window that lets in a decent amount of light. And I turn on all my lighting in the room. My onboard flash is all i have for now. Any ideas? I don't get good catch lights because of the on board flash but without the flash the pictures are black.

you really dont need all the fancy lights to get good portraits. but once you are experienced enough, they do allow for more creativity.

I agree. A nice window light and reflector can make some awesome pics.
