Chuck Westfall, (Director of Technical Marketing Dept. Canon Camera Division) Has published a users guide for the EOS 1 series Digital SLRs.

Wow, thanks, that's very interesting information! This answers many questions that people often ask on Internet forums. Although I have "only" a 10D, it's still very useful, because a large part applies not only to 1-series cameras, such as the tips about sharpening in Photoshop.

Some interesting stuff there, need to have the camera at hand to play with some of it. The recommended USM settings look a little "strange".

see post above yours. i am downloading it now.
i'd actually visit the parent site and look at everything offered there. there are more than just 1d guides. the digital learning center covers the whole range of cameras, plus printers and dpp software.

Yeah we were having an issue downloading the PDF from the link above my post. But now it's working again.. Maybe it was Philadelphia's sh!tty city-wide WI-FI connection. blah!
