As mentioned in a previous thread, I have just picked up a second hand 70-200L F2.8 lens :D :D :D . The only thing is that there is no manual with it at the moment and I have a question regarding one on the small switches on the lens.

One switch is ML/AF - no questions here, however, there is another switch (3m-inf/1.5m-inf) which appears to relate to focusing.

Any ideas what this switch is for??

Cheers
Mark.

the 3m=inf/5m-inf = the camera will focus from 3 meters to infinity or 5 meters to infinity. so if u know ur subject it beyond 5 meters, u switch to 5m-inf. and the camera wont scroll under 5m. to save some time.

You will love this lense. It's my favorite and I use it whenever I can.

Thanks.

An important note that gave me a scare.

If you are in 3m-inf. and the lens is manually focused below the 3m it will not autofocus until you get back over the 3 or flip the switch back.
