Yes, I have used the Kodak Pro Luster. I thought it was excellent. I liked the texture and how well the color looked. I plan to buy it again.

I've been using Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper on my Epson Stylus Photo 950, but I've bought a pack of Ilford Smooth Pearl Paper (http://www.ilford.com/html/us_english/prod_html/galerie/htm/prod/spp.htm) and I like it much better than Epson PGPP! It's a bit thicker than Epson PGPP and has a very nice surface.
It depends on what you want, glossy or not, etc. so I guess it's also very much a personal choice.

For me the Ilford paper works as my glossy/matte finish, as its not matte really, but its not glossy. imo its a mix inbetween. I couldn't even begin to pick which glossy paper to use as I never us it.
Paper is tough to say "This one is good" as everyone has type they like more than most. I have seen sample packs at photo shops where its a few different brands of paper in one little pack. Might be something to look for.

I like the Ilford "Classic" Pearl but have never used the "Smooth" line of Ilford papers. Ilford provides settings (and profiles) for various printers on their website. I did not have luck with the profiles, but it was probably me not really knowing how to use them!
I would check the specs that Ilford provides on their website for each of their papers before deciding which one is best for you. I think Ilford claims that the "Classic" line is less prone to gas fading than the "Smooth" line of quick drying papers. It all depends on your intended use as to which one is best...
