Attached are a few images from last nights race at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis. Not much PS work, just a little level correction. Working on less than 3 hours of sleep!

C&C welcomed.

Wow. 4 great shots. If I would have to pick one I would go with 3 ... But all 4 are poster material imo !

Yes, all 4 are superb. Great shots, maybe just a touch tight on the first three but the detail and timing is excellent. Very nice job.

Did you have a press pass? I called the RCA dome and was told I could not bring a "pro looking camera with a lens longer than about 3-4 inches" because I might hit someone one with it. So I brought along a nice P&S and got nice P&S shots. When I got into the pits about 9:30 a.m. I see DSLR's with all sorts of lenses every where on moms and dads and other pit-people then I see them all over the stands. I think I got bad info, but what would I have done had I brought along my 40D and was told I could not bring it in? Nice shots you have there!

Rudy,

Yes I did have media credentials. I'm thinking that the information you got was just general information for the RCA Dome. I have brought in DSLR's into the RCA Dome before with general admission, although I had to have my backpack searched. I saw MANY people with DSLR's this year shooting from the stands so I'm not sure why they told you that. I think you could easily get a 70-200 in but you probably won't get a 300 or bigger in past security. They also say that you can't bring in video cameras although most P&S cameras have video modes built in.

Lowieken & 900SPG, Thanks for the comments. I agree that they were a little tight, but not too tight. I'm glad you liked my images.

Thanks Emile. It was good seeing you again. Thanks for pushing me to shoot at ISO1600, it was a good move.

See you at St. Louis next month.

No problem, but I'm pretty sure I said 3200 :)

See you there.

I know you said 3200, but I couldn't get myself to shoot at 3200. Too many bad memories.

Killer shots MS. I like the tight photos, personally. How did you get media creds. for the supercross?

Bryon,

Thanks for the compliments on the photos. I had a blast!

It took me over 2 years to get to shoot my first Supercross. I started with local events with a local magazine. After working with them I worked into Arenacross and then to my first Supercross and outdoor Nationals two years ago. Start local and then work your way up.

I shot Red Bud from spectator stance. I'll have to post some up.

Love goin' to the Nationals, though! Keep it up MS!
