Hi all,
I'm new to these forums but I just bought a G6 and I thought I'd post some pics and introduce myself. I'm pretty new to photography but I think my first few snaps turned out ok.
Any tips / feedback would be appreciated. I'm trying to avoid Auto mode altogether so I actaully learn how to use the camera properly but I'm finding landscape shots difficult. I find they are over exposing. I will upload one to my site so you can see.

Nice pictures but they really could be sharpened a bit.

Yeah, I'm having trouble getting them really sharp. Not sure what im doing wrong. I could sharpen then in photshop easy enough but is there a way to get them sharper to begin with?
Also could the fact they have been resized so much affect how sharp they are? The original images are 3072x????

I couldn't get much sharper pictures from my G6 without photoshop :\
You can try using the custom setting on the camera and setting sharpness+ but it doesn't help much. USM in photoshop is the best way :\

They all look a bit off on the exposure so more likely its the camera setting, have you check to see if the exposure setting has been altered on the camera?

The exposure setting is at default but maybe the default isnt that good. Im not sure which way I need to adjust it to improve this though...Anyone else here with a G6 managing to get really sharp pictures?

You could probably get sharper images in those shots if you used a tripod. Maybe your shutter speed might be too slow giving you a slight shake too. Other than that, all digital photos should get a touch of the unsharpen filter to crisp them up. The shot of the gray cat is a winner!
