Hi,
I would like to know is the cable (Quantum Cable CCZ) long enough? if not what other option do I have i.e. from pocket or waist to flash cable? Many thanks

I've had turbo cables since the early 90's for my Metz flashes. Now I have the 580 EX and the cable (CZ) is 3 feet long coiled. These cables have been plenty long, no need to worry about having the battery in your pocket, waist, camera bag or even on the floor. It will reach!

From the descriptions on the Quantum website, the CZ cable is longer than the CCZ cable which is what the OP was asking about. According to the description, the CCZ cable is only 1.5 ft long and supposedly made short for a reason, so that it doesn't get in the way.

Seems kind of a waist to get the Turbo SC Slim if you have such a short cable. I had considered this battery because it is smaller than the Turbo Z, and it looked like it could tuck easily in a shirt pocket. It wasn't that small, so I continue to use the Turbo Z hanging from a strap or clipped to my beltl. Sorry for the assumption.

Actually, now that you brought it up (about the CZ cable), it looks like the Turbo SC Slim can take both the Cx and the CCx cables so if the CCZ is too short for the OP's liking, he can always get the longer CZ cable. :)

Thanks for the info. I may get the CZ cable with it.

Can this be used for a camera too? I'm looking for extra power for 8-16 hours for extra long star trail exposures.....
