Was doing some winter-cleaning of the hard-drives and trying to organize some photos when I stumbled across these shots I had taken at the Toronto Grand Prix in July 2007. Apparently I had completely forgotten about them after editing them!

1. This was during mid-day race on Saturday, burnout poured smoke across the entire track.

2. Yep, even the most hardcore riders wear Crocs!

3. Some of the badging had the local authorities giving a rather stern eye to the riders :)

4. A last shot I got before they stopped the show for the main event race, unfortunately lost my balance squatting down and it blurred slightly.

Great shots, I like the second one the best. How do you do the black & white with the color so perfect in pic number two?

Thanks for the comments, for the black & white background I use the lasso tool to select the areas I want to convert and then I just convert to grayscale for the selection. There was so much going on at the event and so many distracting elements behind the riders that I figured doing a background fade would help make the riders stand out a bit better.
