380EX - best batteries

I just bought a 380EX flash and I was wondering if the NiMh 1800mAh batteries would be enough? Is it worth the hassle and money to try and find stronger ones? How many shots on averge do you think I would be able to take in a day?

1800's will do the job, but you'll get longer life from a set of 2100's or higher. You can pick them up at Target. I'd say keep the set of 1800's, and get another set of higher capacity batteries so that when one set wears down, you can swap them out and put the other in.

If you're shooting a wedding or other affair, it doesn't hurt to have an extra set or two of alkaline batteries for backup.

How about WalMart? Sears? I don't know what stores you have in Canada, but the higher capacity batteries have become fairly common here in the US. I would guess that the same is true for you.
