OK... I know New York Institute of Photography is a sponsor here on POTN, and that in and of itself should be worth something, but I have to ask...

Has anyone taken any of the courses they offer and if so, was it worth it?

They seem to be reasonably priced, and I am curious, but I'm not sure I'm ready to take the plunge without a good reliable recommendation.

Now that you mention it, it does say "Powered by Google" in the corner of the Ad. BUT, it is within a border that is part of the webpage. In other words, it is not a Browser ad stuck at the top of the screen. The ad shows up below the "User CP Rules FAQ" etc. Bar that is below the Forum Menu and my sign in information bar on the right.

That's why I assumed it was a sponsor... The ad is "part of" the page. I inadvertantly added a "Google Tool Bar" a long time ago and it took up the top inch of EVERY page I looked at and ads were pertinent to what I was looking at, but I removed that a LONG time ago. And the ads don't show up at any of the other photo forums I visit... If it were a "Google thing" on my PC, I'd think I would see those ads at every photography site I visited.

If you do a search, you'll find lots of other threads talking about the NYIP classes and people's opinions on them. (At least I did when I was curious about it)
