View Full Version : How should I sell my Sony DSC-H5?

As soon as I get my tax refund, I will be purchasing either the XTi (or I may wait a bit longer for the XSi) - so I will need to get rid of my current P&S camera, a Sony DSCH5 to help pay for part of my camera or additional lenses.
Should I ebay it, put an ad in the paper, try to sell it here - or something else?
Also, how do I determine its value?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Lori

My suggestion would be to start off with eBay.
That way you could sell with a reserve and get the least your willing to part with the camera.
Then maybe try here and try to sell for that same reserve.
I don't have the experience with selling on this forum but as a buyer, there are a bunch of awesome deals and so far I've been fortunate to get what I payed for.
I'm sure sellers sell for cheaper than they could get on eBay.
Does that make sense?!?
As for the value, you could check several resellers (used & new, if they still exist) and see what they are selling for.
It will also depend on the condition of the camera too.
When I sell on eBay, I normally do that as well as check out other auctions.
Hope this will help.
Good luck and enjoy the XTi
