Going to the Gatornationals in a few weeks. Haven't been in a few years. Where's a good spot to get photos at these events? Also, how do you avoid the nitrous? I went for a newspaper last time and almost fainted in the pit area a few times. Just looking to get some cool shots without the worry.

Nitros, (NOS) makes you laugh, Nitro (CH3NO2) can make you cry, LOL. Just stay back from the fuel cars when they warm up in the pits. Myself, I always have to get a least one whiff of Nitro when I go to a race.

Im going to the Gators too. You'll see me as the one with the gas mask on at the ropes taking pics when the fuelers are test firing their machines. You can get a regular respirator at Home Depot but that wont protect your eyes...

Yeah, you must be thinking of the Nitro, it'll make you do that, gives me a headache / burning eye.

there is nothing like the smell of nitromethane. no respirator required. burning your eyes throat and nose is part of the game.

Tell me about it, my brothers friends race for clutchmasters, two of the cars run on the nitro, whenever they are tuning it in the pits, or lineing up for the burnout, the burning starts, and were with them a lot.

erm if nitro is causing you to faint i would recommend one of two things
one. dont go at all
two. buy a proper respirator / gas mask

I should be fine in the stands. Haven't had any problems there ever. Is the 200 2.8 too short for shots?
