Here are a couple pictures from yesterday's race. Let me know what you think. I used a 100-400 m Canon lense with the XT body. This is the first time I tried a lense like this.

Nice pan shot. You can't get too creative when the cars just drive around in circles. I like to watch NASCAR, but for photography, road racing, like ALMS is much better.

I agree. I started going to ALMS races just for the photo opportunities, now I've turned into a huge fan of the series.
Nice panning on #1. I also use primarily the 100-400 at races. Love that lens.

Sorry, but how is that creative. Two cars, boring, in the center of the frame, no room on the right side of the pic, I would have liked the first car sharp, and the following blurred.

#1 and 4 are really great, good panning and and nice look from the pit-crew in action.

I was talking to a guy and he's like would you like to go to the race with me. I was like sure, he hooked me up with a media pass. It was pretty sweet!!

Nice shots. thanks for making me a proud 100-400 IS owner! The colors really stand out on the M&M car.
