One of my first soccer shots with my Canon 1Ds Mark III:

For a brief moment in time, these boys had no idea where the ball was!

Kids sports can really make for some fun shots as they are more prone to mistakes.

Well timed shot :)

Question: What lens...what mode...shutter....? Would you have PP a bit on the slightly dark area of the boys face? I have a few like this...maybe a bit darker in the face and been told that i should lighten that area up. just curious

It's all in his EXIF.

I'm guessing the 300mm prime?

grab a copy of the exif viewer: http://www.opanda.com/en/iexif

Cheers.

nice pic :). It looks good considering the rough lighting out there.

I guess it's a matter of taste. I suppose the dark area could be lightened but since it's pretty representative of what I was seeing with the real lighting effects on the field, I chose not to edit.
