Hi Everyone :)

This is my first post here.

I took this photograph about one week ago.

I am using a Canon EOS-1D

I am pretty new at all of this...would like to hear comments.

I love these creatures. The mantis is my favorite insect. But the photo is showing some kind of monster, not a mantis IMHO :lol:
Very noisy, but still nice. Is it a 100 crop?

The depth of field is very shallow and the lighting/focus seems to be off on the left eye.

What a great photo, and a great subject.

It makes me think I should do more portrait work :-)

I like it. It is a bit short on depth of field......same problems I run into with small live objects :twisted: If you have the original file and PS CS just look under file menu for (file info) or press Ctrl + Alt + I if using a pc a mac would be a diff shortcut. Anyway that will tell you all your camera and lens setting even the camera and time of day too. :)
