Hiring equipment in the UK

Hi, I am keen to hire a 600mm telephoto lens and suitable tripod to use with my 10D on a trip to photograph birds at a local nature reserve. Is this possible in the UK? What would the cost be and where do I go. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
