My friend gave me this Merkury lens cleaner kit. It includes lens tissues (lint free), blower brush, lens cleaning solution (water, isopropyl, alcohol), and Q tips. It says to put the fluid onto the lens tissues and clean the lens via that. Is this the correct way, I just want to make sure I don't damage my lens as I have never cleaned them before.

Thanks.

It says to put the fluid onto the lens tissues and clean the lens via that. Is this the correct way, Yes, use just 1 drop on the tissue & never directly on the lens or it could be sucked in between the elements by capillary action.

Make sure that you don't have any abrasive bits on the lens before cleaning it. :)

I have spots on all my pics that i have to clone out. I used a rocket blower and some are gone. I just wish there was some kind of video tutorial out to show me how to clean all my parts because I'm scared to just do it.

Thanks for the link. However I lucked out and a friend asked me to go to Las Cruces tomorrow. I did a little checking and FINALLY found a camera repair place that will clean it for me for $35. I can't wait to have a clean camera! (think I'll have him check my lenses too.) Anyhow thank you for you time It is greatly appreciated.
