As another battery pack chugs along on the wall as another new 20d owner (and canon convert) is born!

I just wanna play! Oooh, maybe I'll go fiddle with some of my A75 pics in Elements, I didnt even know we got a free copy of elements in the 20d package. I remember someone saying there was a way to 'upgrade' to CS for pretty cheap direct through adobe once you bought a 20d, gonna have to look into that.

Must .... not ...... go.... to the B&H used lens bonanza page......

You are a bad, bad man. 3 of the 4 lenses I intend to buy are on that list, and none of them are going to be in the budget for the next two months. Hell, I started saving for a DSLR back in the full price DRebel days =)

Hey, BTW, havent seen anyone else mention this, my 20D shipped with 1.0.4! Weird eh? They musta had that in the factory for exactly 2 days before swapping over to 1.0.5, now I just gotta figure out how to get the latest one to a card reader..

OK, I'm going to say this for Sam. You're a bad bad bad bad man. ;) Unfortunately for me my credit card is about to have a $0.00 balance on it. No looking at B&H for me. I want it to stay that way for 30 days.

That $0.00 balance is one of the sweetest sites you'll ever come across!

It was baout three years ago that I finally ZEROED a debt that I had carried around since the early '90s

Truly a breath of fresh air to be out from under that burden.

My wife and I just zeroed our debt this past month. What a breath of fresh air. I do not think I have been this relaxed since before I started looking for colleges my junior year in HS.

Yes, being debt free is a very nice thing. Now, if I can just resist the siren song of all those L lenses, the 1DMkII and the 20D. Ugghh... so many voices whispering in my ear.

I don't want to put you in debt, but when I bought my 20D and 100-400L, I just went online and picked up a Bank One card that's 0% interest for 12 months, nothing accrued. I'm only two months into it, but I have 50% of the goodies paid off, so 12 months is more than enough.

I had some events come up that I needed the equipment, so why not buy now and pay later if it's not going to cost you a dime extra?

Good if you have good credit and you are 100% sure about paying that card off within the 0% time...

I bought two used trucks a few years ago on a 0% Discover Card offer... I paid them off before the year so they offered me another 6 months @ 0% ... Bought and paid off some other smaller items...

So, I used about $10K of their money for 18 months and saved the interest and charges...

I'd do it again for the right reason... CC Co.'s don't like folks who pay on time...

I got rid of my THREE Visa cards about this time last year. So thats one year living credit balance free. If I cant pay for it via american express or cash or paypal, I dont get it.

Never again.

It's a good feeling. It's GOOD to want things you cant afford right now, keeps ya motivated. Just wish I could do the same with my mortgage and car payment and all would be golden =)
