This is at MacPark in OKC, OK. It's normally a gokart track, but some people bring out a hybrid motorcycle called a "motard". It's all dirtbike, with street tires. While most people ride them like dirt bikes just with different tires(including sticking their feet out) some people take it to the extreme and drag their knees around corners(a sport bike thing) and the even crazier people actually slide around corners like you do on a dirt bike. I also heard it hurts just as bad wrecking on one of these as apose to riding around on a sport bike at the track. Motards don't have frame sliders...

Nice shots! First looks slightly out of focus.
I follow the UK Supermoto (Motard) scene!
These bikes have uprated suspension as MX suspension is too soft. They run wheel bobbins and depend on circuit regulations, bobbins on the footpegs to protect the tarmac from being dug up when they crash. They also "back it in" when cornering, this is where as you approach the corner, drop 2 gears, feather the clutch, the rear slides out and they slide round the corner, hit the gas and off again! Although this technique is being used less nowadays! Pity as it makes photos spectacular!

Yeh I just had the lens a week and it seems different compared to my 75-300mm. Maybe it's because it's the L-series part, or the fact I havnt' used a zoom lens in like half a year, but I think I'm figuring it out.

I really like the last shot, I have shot some super-moto in the past I really like the shots of the guys backing it in. I have a few with blue smoke coming off the rear wheel. My question is how much difference the new lens makes, I have a XTI and have been using a Sigma 70-300 1:4-5.6. I have been shooting indoors MX and cars and need more light( don't like the flash for indoor races) I am a novice and don't want to blow a wad on somthing I don't need at this time.

Well if you need more light, don't get the Canon 70-200mm f/4. f/4 is pretty slow. I shoot all my stuff outside, and in the daytime. None of my racing or sports is at night or indoors. I'm going to actually up it to like 5.6 or something, because at f/4 not everything is in focus. I dunno if it's because of that, or what I"m shooting isn't easy for the lens to focus on, but it's either hit or miss with the lens.
Now... it has helped my ego a bit ; )
Oh and I've shot some photos of birds and squirrles and the shots come out REAL nice. Maybe it's because I havn't used a long lens while shooting action stuff that makes my photos look so bad. I use to have a 75-300mm but sold it in the winter because there is no racing going on, and I just need to brush up on my long lens skills.
