Just a few shots from a ski race this past weekend. Always a challenge with the sun to camera left and behind skiers. C&C welcome.

Very nice. The contrast in number 2 seems to be a bit lacking but all the others look great. Sharp, vibrant colors, good crops, action and I really like the depth of field as the skiers pop right out.

Very nice series of images, challenging to get good images with such varied lighting conditions. Thanks for sharing.

Nice ones. I would crop them a bit tighter, but that's pretty much it. Except for timing. All, except for last one, are a bit early (#1, 2) or late (#3, 4, 5). But last one is exactly right :)

Great photos. I love how in number 4 you can see the skiers arms in the reflection off of his goggles. Its almost as if u can see what he is seeing.

also, i like the variation in timing, such as the look on the skiers face on approach when they are focused on the flag, to when they are powering through. Each variation in timing tells a different story.

Thanks to all for your comments. Primoz I know you have extensive experience shooting World Cup skiing so I appreciate your feedback. You're right about the timing but damn getting the shot just as they are hitting the gate with it just starting to bend is tough! I usually shoot bursts of 3-4 frames and even with that the majority of sequences seemed to miss that one view. I got lucky on the last one. Thanks again.
I'm curious about comments concerning cropping tighter though. I normally do crop football, baseball, lacrosse very tight but in this case the skis on the snow and the dynamic action of the snow does seem to play a role in the overall image. So when you state crop tighter how much tighter would you go?
