Well, I've had like six Drebs so far with all the issues I've been having, so I can't give an actual number. But, I would *guess* at about 2000 shots in the three to four weeks I've had 'em. I would say probably 700 or so of those were for test purposes (so I could find out exactly what was wrong with my current Dreb). Luckily, I finally got a good one.

I have probably take about 300-500 shots since I got this one about 10 days ago. How can I check to find the actual number?

4 months here, 3600+ actuations.

Since I have a newborn, the #'s should go up exponentially. :)

1D Mark II - 1 Month (28 days, actually) and 3102 shots. This does not include the 500 or so I shot while learning it before resetting the counter.

20D - Same time period and only 750 shots. Also, not including the test shots done during learning before resetting the counter.

6 months or so on the Drebel and right around 3910.

Boy do I hate to think what the film cost to that would be...

My 10D is about one year minus one week old and the counter is on 4823.
I guess I'm not using it very heavily compared to most people here.... ;)

10D A 3-4 months
10D B 3 weeks ago
Elan 7n A 6 months
Elan 7ne A 2 months

Have to replace the 10D's with a MKII and 1D original by the end of the winter, hopefully.

Well i had mine for 3 months and 2375 shots but i guess more important is the number of keepers. Out of 2375 i have around 5-8% keepers. So what's ur percentage of keepers or is it that i'm a lousy shooter ?

Is there a way to check the total count if your image file number has been reset?

I was kind of shocked too.. I don't shoot every day, but I do use the rapid shooting function a lot when I shoot wildlife.. It's nothing for me to shoot 400 shots on one outing and to go on 3 or 4 outings a week. Out of those hundreds of shots, I'll keep maybe 4 or 5.. I've also travleled around North America shooting lots of pictures... from polar bears in the far north to cactii in the south west deserts.... I'm retired so having to work doesn't get in the way of my trips and photography :)

The last couple of months haven't been that bad.. I moved from an apartment to a house in the country and I've spent more time at home landscaping etc..
