And now for something completely different... a single photo in a thread by me.
Taken in my village...

The photo has been forced smaller -- if you like it, you might want to click on a pair of pants to see it without compression wrinkles.
Cheers,
Don
Modified G1 and 093 infrared filter.

I love your infrared shots Don. This one seems a little erie. A bird or something light in the top area would've helped balance the shot, but you'd have been there all day waiting for something like that.

I love it too
always love seeing clothes hanging on a line for some reason
these look very dramatic because of the infrared.
looks like the shoes are still in the pants
(just off centre in the picture)
almost looks as though the pants are dancing
perfect there
really nicely composed (and everything else ) picture

Wow, that picture is amazing. I'm very impressed. I love the light/shadow. If I ever get something that nice I'm blowing it up and hanging it on my wall :)

I love the eerieness myself... and I think a bird would pull too much attention away from the laundry, which is the focus. As it is, the light clouds in the background mimic the lighted concrete in the front of the clothes, so I'm quite please with it.
Thanks for your viewpoint, though... it's always nice to hear what others see.

I've always liked the old clotheslines myself. Probably comes from seeing my grandmother hanging out clothes in the sun, even after we gave her a washer and dryer.

Thanks, Ian... yes, the G1 is still chugging along. I printed this out at 8x10 and it's perfect.

Hi Chris,
Thank you... I didn't blow it up but I did print it at 8x10 and it's beautiful. I almost impressed myself. :D
I love Chicago, by the way... graduated from Lyons Township High School in LaGrange.

Mine does... Leela does it for me... and she hangs it out in the sun... just not on a bamboo pole.
Thanks for the comment.

In another message I just sneaked in I mentioned that Leela hangs our clothes out. We could get a drier but she won't have one. Lucky it doesn't snow here. :D
October 29 and it's 27 degrees Celsius here today. I love the fall.

Don
I don't have one either (dryer)
lately I am in and out like a yo yo though
(with the bad weather, but it's lovely too )
and if I think the clothes are even partly dried I run out
take them in
hang them back out when the clouds lift
and run back out to bring them in ...when another heavy shower thunders down

but at least they didn't get the real soaking
temp sounds nice there.
it's not too bad here
(not real cold.. yet)
whatever we get it's to be expected so it's ok
( the leaves are so beautiful on the ground
and a lot still on the trees)
