Yup, that be the Tamron "L" glass that is getting all the rave reviews.

Yep that's a wonderful lens, I use it almost all the time for my modelshoots.

That is the great lens. Wish they had a long tele zoom that good, and a super wide.

I've performed a few tests on this lens, comparing it at similar focal lengths and apertures to my 17-40L. I found images to be great in the centre but there was a little blurring around the edges.
I can post some examples if you like.

Send it back for a replacement then. No such problem with mine. That behaviour is not normal for this lens.

Would people recommend the Tamron over the Canon 28-135 F3.5-5.6 IS lense found here:

In terms of quality I mean; obviously the Tamron won't have the same reach.

Yes, quality will be much better.

That Tamron is a great lens. You won't find anything better for the $$$.

Yea i herd i might get a bad one but like everyone says with a 6 year warenty i got plenty of time to figure it out...
