Hi guys,

My first post on here so aplogies if I am going over old ground for anyone....

At present I shoot ice hockey pics for Milton Keynes Lightning Ice Hockey team in the UK and it is effectively a semi-pro outfit with very tight budgets.

This past two seasons I have been raising funds for the club through sales of match night photos via Fuji's Photobox website - However this season I have noticed a real slump in sales.

Talking to a number of people it would appear the appetite amongst the MK fans is to be able to purchase the digital image rather than a print.

Obviously there are some knock on copyright issues that would need to be considered but ultimately if a move to digital fulfilment brings in more cash for the team then that it the goal.

With a digital download service I would be able to host player/ team desktop wallpapers; mobile phone wallpapers; match night photos for digital photo frames etc....

I am really keen to explore any UK based websites that offer us as an organisation the ability to still continue with a print based service but to also offer digital fulfilment as an additional service (possibly with a discalimer relating to personal use only!).

Anyway that was a long winded way of asking - does anyone know of any UK based websites that would be able to accomodate this - I have found three US ones so far but obviously I don't want to be hosting images in the US in $'s and have to try to get prints from the other side of the Atlantic.

Photobox's quality and serivce has been nothing short of brilliant for us but unfortunately they have confirmed that they have no immediate plans to offer a digital download service.

www.printroom.com (http://www.printroom.com)
www.exposuremanager.com (http://www.exposuremanager.com)
www.smugmug.com (http://www.smugmug.com)

All seem to offer what I am looking for but just not in the UK.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a service please.

Many thanks

Jez

...Photoshelter has the option of four direct print vendors, including one, Spectrum Photographic, that is based in the UK. You also have the option with connecting to any lab in the Photoshelter Print Vendor Network, but you have to pay the lab directly yourself. They also allow digital purchases and downloads and are quite simple to use.

Zenfolio offer UK fulfillment of print services through photobox, my webiste through them aint great but it is my fault not theirs;) there is a link in my sig... There are a whole load of options and you can even self deliver not sure how it works but I would certainly give them a look. They also do direct download of digital options too!

If you do decide to give them a whirl here is my Referral Code: VVW-PFA-A1J, I believe you may get a wee discount and I get a wee thank you too :)

Good Luck, Ice Hockey aint my game but you have a great Baseball team in Milton Keynes (its true honest!) I played against them on several occasions and they are a great group of lads :D
