View Full Version : Sigma EM-140 ringlight on EF-S 60 macro ?

I'm considering the purchase of the Sigma EM-140 Macro Ringlight for my EF-S 60 macro.
Is anyone using this combo? Does it work well at 1:1 magnification? I plan to use it for flowers and insects.

its harsh....thats why i sold it and got the mt-24ex..the mr-14ex is good also..

I thought about adding a homemade diffuser if need be...
Is the Canon MR-14 considerably softer out of the box? That's as much as I might want to spend eventually - the MT-24 is expensive indeed.
Is the working distance from the attached ringlight to the subject still enough for even lighting at 1:1? The WD for the bare EF-S 60 is about 9 cm.
