I love still life, it really give you a chance to show your creativity and your photo skills. Show me your favorite/most unique still life shot. I think this should be fun.

Thanks
Stephen

Well, this is probably my most unique still life.

Slow zoom on a long exposure of glow-in-the-dark airsoft pellets around a pistol.

Thanks.

My son had a bottle of glow-in-the-dark airsoft pellets that I scattered around the pistol. Then I hit the pellets with with a bright flashlight for about thirty seconds, shut the lights off, and snapped the picture before they started to fade. I made about 3 layer masked with different hues to get the transition from color to color.

I don't know about imaginitive. Diseased maybe...

Oh, the fateful day where I found The Thing in the Produce Aisle. The horrible words "Citrus fhtagn" are forever burned in my tortured brain!
http://www.pbase.com/image/56574408/original.jpg

I felt compelled to take it home. I watched in horror as it called to helpless fruit.

I stood paralyzed while the horror from beyond tore apart the tomatoes and messily devoured them. I fear I fainted from terror only to awake in the madhouse. No, I am not mad! We are all doomed! Death comes from tentacled citrus things! <gibber>

nice shots...I'm not a pro but I just wanna share what I've read in an article about still life last december with u guys......the article points out that still life is an art where there is always an artists intervention.Meaning to say a found object taken without an artists (photographer) intervention to tell a story is merely a found object and not a still life. I see some pics here are really great but to my opinion are not still life but rather "catalouge" shots and merely found objects....

I beg to differ since photography is another form of art if applied correctly.

Love a lot of these. Especially the one by Underaglassbell.

I don't shoot much still life and I'm not really sure if you would call this a still life or a nature shot, but here goes :)
