I have had my Camera for a week now and have tried to practice something new every day. This is what I worked on today.

Congrats on the camera. I was looking at the exif data on your shots and it said you were using f/22. You really don't need to set it that small. I don't know the science behind it, but if you do some searches here you will come up with the explanation. Me personally I wouldn't go passed f/11 assuming you have the kit lens. I usually use a Circular Polarizer to allow for longer exposer times.

Yeah I would like to pick up a filter next payday. I had it set at f/22 because that was the only way I could figure out how to do a long enough exposure to get the efect with the water without the picture being completely white from too much sunlight light. I'm not sure if that makes any sense.

I had to do the same thing when I was starting out!

Love #1. #2 is cropped too close for my tastes. I like the shot, but would prefer that more surrounding stuff be included.

Thanks photoguy. I had to crop it close to cut out the ugly brown snow.
