Well my second feature in Modified Mustangs came out this weekend. The pictures they chose to print IMO were eh, but I'm pretty sure the reason they did is it was my fault, and all my good pictures were of cars they didn't need covered. O well, judging from the coverage it looks like I now know they prefer multiple cars in each shot. Also I spent alot of my time panning because I hardly ever see sharp pans in these types of mags and wanted to come with something unique, but they didnt choose to use any of them. 1. http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/6048/mm6coveros6.jpg (http://imageshack.us) 2. http://img296.imageshack.us/img296/4830/mm4vz8.jpg (http://imageshack.us) 3. http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/2283/mm5bv2.jpg (http://imageshack.us) Some of my favorite shots they didnt use... 4. http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/7766/mustang6ch4.jpg (http://imageshack.us) 5. http://img183.imageshack.us/img183/8413/mustang2tf7.jpg (http://imageshack.us) 6. http://img159.imageshack.us/img159/6391/mustang13agk8.jpg (http://imageshack.us) 7. http://img159.imageshack.us/img159/5706/mustang12cj7.jpg (http://imageshack.us) 8. http://img126.imageshack.us/img126/2354/trackxm3.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

that burnout shot is sweet.

I can see why they chose not to use some of the ones you like.

Yes they are technically good shots but 9 times out of ten they only care about what the cars look like and don't really give a toss about the artistic merit.

I really like the first un-chosen shot but to an editor there is too much dead space that they could fill with something else. No I'm not an editor but am slowly beginning to see what they are after.

Nice pics!

I'm an avid Modified Mustang reader so I'll be sure to look for more of your work!

I've actually had my car featured in Modified Mustang... The car is gone (sniff, sniff) but still keep my fingers in the Mustang world... LOL

Great shots. Did you use post processing to bring out the sky in the mustang burnout photo?

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Great shots. Did you use post processing to bring out the sky in the mustang burnout photo?

Yes, I did. The sky contrast-wise was very similar to how it looks now, but I selectively darkened and desaturated the blue and cyans in the sky.

yea, i can see too they probably picked those shots to appeal to a bigger crowd, vs the smaller artistically inclined crowd (which i'm not really apart of), also for a bigger age range.

That was a fun event!
