Worth considering as a second flash to use my 580ex off camera or will i come unstuck with incompatibility , or would i just be better off getting another 580ex

The Metz potato mashers are as good as any other Auto flash out there as an off-camera light. Of course, the Canon 580EX or Meta 58AF1 can be ratio'd from the on-camera flash via Canon ETTL wireless.
