It poured all day yesterday so while out at the grocery store I picked up a bunch of tulips. I set everything up to do a bit of macro shooting with my XT, Sigma 70mm macro, 430EX Flash, LumiQuest Soft Box all mounted on my tripod.

As I was shooting a bunch of different macro image my 10-year old grandson stuck his head in and asked "Pop Pop, are you making a still life?" SO I got to thinking a bit, backed off on the 1:1 macro and still using the same set up tried a few still life images.

This is my first post on this forum. Any C&C would be appreciated.

Maybe pull them away from the backgound a bit to get rid of the shadows, and bring the far right one up a bit to be with the rest.

Good points. Thank you. I usually keep a good distance between subject and background when shooting macro. When I went wider as a still life, I move the tulips back much closer to the background. Again good catch.
