Y dont these companys like Polaroid keep software updates for there products?..drivers etc..... I have the poloaroid fun flash 640 digital camera..for my mum..and went 2 load the software on win xp?? Was only made for 98 2000?..... damn!! as its a good camera for her? to taks happy shots round the home?? any ideas to get this going on xp? much appreicated thanks regards SH :oops: :oops:

The 2000 drivers should work for XP.

XP may also support image transfer from that camera OOB. Have you tried that?

Any equipment/software manufacturer only needs to support a product for 5 years. It's a federal law. It costs companies too much money to update old products for new software and hardware. It's much better for them to sell new products instead of deal with the old.

My Fun Flash downloads through the TWAIN software on XP fine but I can't remember how I got it to work - looks like the above will do it, though. As for photo editing software - take a look at Kodak's Easyshare software - it is downloadable for free and very easy - better than the software that came with the Fun Flash.
