The LCD of my Canon SD 750 broke. So I ordered a new one from Canon. I replaced the old LCD with the new one and I get a blank white screen.
I heard that the ribbon connectors need to be pushed all the way in and I did that to the best of my ability - what i could without breaking the connector it self. I don't think I can push it in any more....
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there any remedy? Please respond if you have. thanks a lot!

How did you order a replacement screen?

Canon Parts - if you call the service center or toll-free number in your Owners Manual, they'll be able to give it to you. In the US, it's 732-521-7230.

Thanks for the speedy response.
How much did the replacement screen cost you? I found one on ebay for $70. I just need to decide if I'm better off upgrading (I was thinking sd880), or fixing it. I'm also looking at some "as-is" on ebay for very cheap ($10 or so). I'm assuming these are E-18 lens error models.
I've been trying to keep the camera in my jacket pocket all the time (for the last two years). Last night it backfired on me when I slammed it in the car door!

I replaced the screen on my old SD300 a couple of years back. Had to make sure the cable was properly seated to get it to work right. It's broken again but at this point it's not worth fixing.

For people looking at repairing their cameras, find one on ebay that has a different problem but has the part you need working - works out VERY cheap! (like £10 complete repair)
