I may want to buy an additional small camera for the situations where it is inconvenient to bring a big DSLR as the 20D.
- Quality should be as good as possible.
- Good quality lens
- Must use Compact Flash
- Small and convenient
Which models should I look closer at?

I went with the A80. Full manual controls, reasonably high resolution, CF, AA cells so I don't need YABC (Yet Another Battery Charger). Supplanted by the A95 (up from 4 to 5 MP, same lens range, same manual control possibiliites, slightly larger LCD).

I'd take a look at the PowerShot G6 if you want a high quality camera that uses the same batteries as your Digital EOS cameras: http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/controller?act=ModelDetailAct&fcategoryid=144&mode lid=10463
If you want something a little smaller, I also like the A95: http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/controller?act=ModelDetailAct&fcategoryid=145&mode lid=10468
or with a bit higher quality production than the A-series, the PowerShot S70: http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/controller?act=ModelDetailAct&fcategoryid=144&mode lid=10460
or if you want really small, the PowerShot S500: http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/controller?act=ModelDetailAct&fcategoryid=145&mode lid=9825

Now, to go for the DSLR! Considering a Nikon D70.
