Nice...but they all seem a little busy. Maybe try and get some down the strip?

Nice shots but a shame about the guy in the media vest is the middle of some of them. Love how you've caught the tyres deforming.

Could not get down the strip as people were in the way. Up on the bleachers was the only place. I was anywhere from 75' to 100' from the cars. :(

Here is the tractor they use to prep the track. You won’t see the rear tires wrinkle on this one.

Nice shots.
Nice shot of Billy Glidden, I've wondered whatever happened to the Gliddens.

Love the tire wrinkle. That, burnouts, and doing wheelies is about the only cool shots you will get at the starting line, unless you get real artistic, which usually involves you putting yourself in harms way, or a big lens.

yea, I would move (or wait or not shoot) something if it had people in front or too many distractions blocking the car (or object).

#6 is out of focus and the people standing in front of the cars are very distracting, most notably the guy on the ladder. Maybe play with DOF next time to put some blur in the foreground and focus on the car only.

I agree 100% but unfortunately I was around 100' away and had no choice.

You asked about what happened to the Glidden's-- here is some of what is going on with them.
