I see we've already got a few threads from this event and i suspect there will be a lot more to come, but here's some of mine whether you like it or not :p
Although the fine weather was very welcome, the combination of clouds & bright sunshine caused more than a few problems as the light was constantly changing...and then there were the shadows...
1. Stig Blomqvist pedalling a MK1 Escort RS 1600.

Lovely set of images, Geoff. Looked quite a dull light in those trees but you've made the cars beautiful. Great job!

The light was strange. Harsh sunlight for one car then dull & cloudy for the next. It would have been better if we had consistent cloud as i seemed to be changing ISO settings from 1 car to the next....there was no chance of shooting in Manual mode !
Nice shots as always, I need to get to a rally.
I enjoy it more than circuit racing to be honest. Much more relaxed (usually) and some lovely cars to see.

Get them posted, we can't have enough Rally threads on here. Nice to meet you too. I sare say we'll bump into each other again some time during the season :)
Nice shots Geoff you can see the light change in your shots still nice though
I thought about tinkering with them in CS2 to brighten them up a bit but decided not to change the habit of a lifetime...so sharpen & re-size was all they got
Me, lazy?....Yes !
Nice shots Geoff and the colours are great.
I thankyow. A bit of sunshine and some very well-prepared cars always helps ;)
Great shots Geoff, I love the one of Mcrae and the flying POO:lol:

Flying Poo ! . Yep, i think the light could best be described as "challenging". Still it beats the rain & snow from Grizedale a couple of months ago and the howling gale at Croft last Sunday :)
Great shots Stigs Escourt looked great, you must have been stood by the tree opposite me, i was using the 300mm
Shame we didn't know you were there. The POTN loony club was 4 strong on Sunday and there's always room for more members. :D
Thanks for the kind comments everyone, they're much appreciated :)

Very nice work, Geoff. It seems that silly red ring around your lens hasn't crippled the performance too badly ;) Thanks for the Sunbeam!

I'm quite pleased with that shot as i normally have a nightmare with orange cars.

The 120-300 was hopeless before i "Canon-ised" it. I'm considering painting it white so it will bring about World Peace too...
Thanks again everyone :)
