Up until now I have been printing some of my piccies. However I recently ran out of ink. No big deal, or so I thought ! Having recently also changed my PC I did not have the correct paper profiles on it. Once again not an enormous problem. I downloaded the profiles and thought that would be that. No way.
From having some pretty decent prints a few weeks ago it seems I am right back to square one again.
I am using a Canon iP5200, not the most expensive printer but I was doing well with it. I am also using Ilford Galerie Classic Pearl. I will post the profile I am using when I have finished this post.
My monitor is calibrated but only with Adobe Gamma. However the colours, of the prints, are so far out it does not bear thinking about ! I was getting some very nice prints but now............rubbish to say the least.
Can anybody help me please ?
Thank you.

Whatever you were before it now has a different profile , so Id bet if you could get to the original profile it would be as before which in thr real world was kinda lucky you got good prints from anyway , I suggest getting a proper Monitor Calibration program and start from there , adobe gamma doesnt really cut it .

I'm not familiar with the printer you are using but I've used a number of Canon printers with Ilford papers and had very few problems.

I would do a head cleaning just to be safe. The Ilford profiles have always been very good with the printers that I have used. If it is not performing up to standards download it again and see if that makes a difference.

Thank you very much ssim and yb98. I am a bit of a PC fool yb98 but I shall attempt to follow that which you have written although the piccies are not in the RAW format. It may just jog my memory some and then the penny will drop again. I hope !
For some strange reason my son downloaded exactly the same thing from Ilford and got a different result to me. I will try this out.
