Wide lens/converter for S5
(sorry if this not the correct place to post this but i wasnt sure where this belongs)
I need an advise for this. I know Canon has a wide converter for S5 but i read from somewhere that it's not the best one. Then i found this Raynox http://www.raynox.com/
Is it any good, or even better than Canon's own? I was thinking about these:
Raynox SRW-6600-58LE
Raynox HD-6600PRO
( is the 52mm the correct one for S5?)
Is there other brands making wide converters for S5?
Also, is there anything else i should know before buying anything?
Im hoping to get pics like these:

http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p24/lindon2/wide3.jpg
http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p24/lindon2/wide2.jpg
These pis are propably shot with expencive camera and i know i cant same quality with my S5 and with cheap wide converter but is it possible to get even close?

Yep I was about to suggest that thread. I too was going to get the Canon W/A until I read that thread. For the same price, it seems you get a much better lens.

It's okay! I too have a habit of getting excited about something and wanting an answer NOW instead of taking the time to search it out. :) Besides, that's what this forum is for!!

Well... my kitchen definately is not as nice as the ones you posted :( Would interior shots of other buildings work? I can do with and w/o the lens.
Are you a real estate agent? Or interior designer?
I can say that the lens greatly increases the viewing angle AND without any barrel distortion. The only things to worry about are vignetting if you add a filter to the end, which you should never need nor want to do with indoor shots; and shadowing using the pop-up flash. SO, for what you will be doing, all you need is this lens, 52mm adaptor, and a nice Canon Speedlite.

OH NO, im not a real estate agent or interior designer! I saved those pics from a real estate website. :D and like i said in my first post, they are propably taken by a professional, cause some of the pics still had the camera info and well, when it says Canon EOS 1D or Nikon D3 etc. i know amateurs like me dont have cameras like those, lol.
Oh and you can PM me the pics if you dont want everybody to see them :)
So yes, any pics will do :) My apartment doesnt look that good either. :p

I think the Raynox adapter would be fine. I believe it is also made out of aluminum like the Lensmate. If I remember right, Lensmate ships to most countries. Just don't get the Canon adapter, it's cheap plastic.
I'll get some pics in the next couple days and send to you!!

Yeah, i read also that Canon's is plastic. I think i go for the Raynox cause i can get it from here. I think it would be twice a price if i would order it from Lensmate ... from USA, was it?

I paid 25 USD for the 52mm from lensmateonline.com.
Here is a link to their shipping page... http://www.lensmateonline.com/newsite/order.html#map

Looks like i have to pay a bit more, cause the Raynox costs 19,50€ (thats about $30, but well, if i would order it from USA, i would pay more anyway, cause the page you posted says: Airmail $12.00 and Global Express $32.00 (which i would take cause the post mail cant be trusted these days) ... so i would finally pay $57 :p
Anyway, i was planning to get this set:

Which will cost me 44.50€ (68 USD)
But thanks for your help anyway :)

That looks great! I would get that too, just make sure it has 52mm threads on the front if you want to use the DCR-6600 :)

Okays ... i finally got the Raynox DCR-6600PRO and i'm more than satisfied. It does what it says it does.
Big thanks to DeeDoubleYou for sending me sample photos taken with the exact same converter. That helped me a lot with choosing this. :)
Here's my comparison photos:
With Raynox:

Without:

I would say the difference is huge!
If i have to say anything bad about it, its the lens cap it has. It's really cheap looking and doesnt go on very easily.
