help, broken flash, I was shooting football tonight and

got creamed on the sideline by a massive tackle, well I had a Sigma EF 500 Super DG attached and when I climbed out of the pile up I noticed that it was no longer on the camera. Basically the flat surface that connects on to the camera broke into, this is the part below the round knob on the flash that you turn to lock it on the camera? What can I do to get if fixed, any ideas?

I'd get in touch with Sigma and see what sort of price a repair would be. Not sure about the US but in the UK I got an email reply from sigma within 48 hours.

Also, check the hotshoe mount on the 300D. That is going to have put quite a slot of lateral force onto the shoe so make sure it hasn't loosened/moved at all.
