Very nice crane! And for once the 'lines' involved are steel cables and not power lines eh? Like the PP on this one!

I truly love the 'texture' of old reailroad equipment. We see none of it down here. This line is so important to the Union Pacific, they have only the most modern equipment on hand.
They just had a major derailment near here last week, and the equipment they threw at it was astounding. Not a bit of rust to be seen anywhere.

Maybe we can find something crazy like this around here. This one is in upstate NY. But no power lines. Thanks.

No rust, that is uncivilized!
Nicely done! If I would have been there I would have been crawling around looking for details rather than the entire crane. Did you?

Sometime I'd like to see the photos without any PP.

No. I briefly considered driving down there, but I suspect I wouldn't have been able to get anywhere near the accident because of the hazardous materials. They did evacuate a lot of the residents in the area, so I can well imagine they were not letting outsiders in for any reason.

Those are some great images. We need more rusty trains. I say they outlaw paint and primer, and use more carbon steel.

I grew up in the shadow of the Lehigh Valley great shops in Sayre, PA...used to love the Sunday afternoon trips to the yard with my grandfather, mile after mile of derelict rolling stock. Today, the only remains are miles and miles of empty yard tracks and a couple of buildings that have been kept in service by GE Railcar maintenance.

I did find what could be a cool site (MAYBE) down in SC for some more derelict factory shooting.... I was driving Saturday with my friends and slowed way down... wishing my camera wasn't all the way in the back of the van! :) I'm that way again soon I think so I want to take a closer look! It's not trains but hey I'm keepin' an eye out for some places for us to go!
