Im either getting the Canon 100, the Tamron 90, or the Sigman 150, can you please show me some of your best/favorite shots using these lenses. Please list what lens you used and if you used a flash or not.
Thanks
Stephen

I don't think this would help you decide, they are all great lenses. I would point out the 150 is harder to hand hold in my experience but others will disagree no doubt.
You can serach images from any lens in PBase, eg:

What kind of shots? I shoot lots with the 100. In fact I shot my husbands band with it and liked the results! Although it was bought mainly for flowers and nature.
Here are some shots:

ice (until the flowers come out!)

The band shots were difficult due to the AF speed on macro lenses, but for what they are and the first time doing anything like it I was very impressed!

EF100mm Macro rocks! An amazing lens, I would not sell it for nothing even if I don;t really use it that often (is the sharpest lens in my bag).

walk around the grounds looking for bugs to photograph; other than that I delve into the archives to find info for people and then photograph/scan documents for them. Not very exciting but its close to home and a reasonable work enviroment. The National Archives house the official archives for England & Wales and have documents from 1066 to the present day - over 9 million documents on 170 km of shelving, clearly a very valuable resource for government/historians/solicitors/medal collectors etc etc
Today included working on a file relating to a British Captain parachuted into occupied France to help the resistance. After six months of heroic deeds he was eventually captured by soldiers of the 1st 'Adolf Hitler' SS Panzer division and was never seen again - witnesses saw him struggling despite a shattered jaw. Out of uniform his fate was sealed. A moving letter from his father begging the authorities to force the Germans responsible to locate his resting place is included at the end. Makes you glad that photographing wasps is the most dangerous thing you are likely to do!

Toby,I for one, have always enjoyed history and all of the lessons/adventures contained therein. It sounds like you have an amazing job. I am envious. Back to the subject at hand. it really depends on what level of Macro you want to shoot at.

I have the Sigma 150mm and love it. Here's 1 pic taken with my lens... ISO 800 and f.8. No post processing other than crop and resize.
