In many post of various pics it states that the picture is 100% crop.......what does 100% crop mean? I think I understand croping (cutting down) but what is the % thing?

It means the picture they posted is a crop of the original and has not been resized.

thank you, so I take it that the 100% does not refer to the amout of the picture croped.

Correct, Gramps. So someone crops a 400x400 area and posts it as a 400x400 image. The posted image is 100% of the original size of the crop.

Which means, 1 pixel on screen equals 1 pixel in the original image - not zoomed in or zoomed out, but one to one - zoomed to 100%.

I have been editting and said, "Damn, that's 100% crap". But that is a whole new thread.
