Neither do anything for me. And the B&W makes it look blah since it all turns rather light.

Personally I would boost the colours a bit -perhaps selective colour?
B&W in woodland tends to look a bit of a mish-mash, I think.

I'm with the others on this set. There's nothing that really jumps out at me. I think I see what you were trying to get in the first shot, but in my opion, the overall mood you were trying to catch just doesn't come through.

I have to agree with the above comments. The B/W one definately doesn't work. The colour one is better but doesn't really hold my attention. Some interesting forground feature might have helped.

Well I really like the colour one! :D The reflections are the best thing about it. Though, I have to agree with everyone on the B&W conversion I'm afraid.

I like the color photo. I would try to take the picture again focusing on the tree to the right. Focus on the base if you could. Together they look ok, but the base alone may be interesting. I'd like to see it.

Would it be better with just one whole tree reflected in the water?, just an idea
